POSITION OPENING:
Office Assistant
POSITION PURPOSE: The Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the daily office operations in the school. Duties may include filing papers, answering phones, retrieving and sorting mail, tracking student attendance, processing purchase orders, physically moving and organizing items and other duties as assigned.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Powers School District is accepting applications for the position of an Office Assistant. The position is a part-time position. Hours will be approximately 24 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Applicants should be reliable, be resourceful to help other staff and enjoy working around kids. Other desirable characteristics include an outgoing, positive personality, ability to physically lift up to 50 pounds to move objects, strong organization skills and a friendly disposition.
SALARY: Hourly rate as per contract, currently starting at $16.73
